The Foundation’s actions germane to women promotion are not confined to this context, for they have adopted a global approach privileging follow-up of young girls in rural areas to play a better role in the development process.

Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity has accordingly built, by the end of 2006, almost 62 girl accommodation hostels across Morocco with a budget of about 150 million MAD.

The goal behind these accommodation hostels to welcome and lodge young girls in rural areas and assure an educational atmosphere and decent residence for them, in a way to help them carry on schooling in the best possible conditions.

This way, the Foundation contributes to the struggle against school dropout phenomenon among youth, particularly affecting girls in rural areas, creating an obstacle for girls and women to play their role in the global development process of the country.
