
Mohammed VI national center for people with special needs
Pursuant to instructions by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity built, in Salé, the Mohammed VI national center for people with special needs.
The center is meant to be a multifunctional facility designed to serve people with special needs. It is a cooperative project involving the Ministry of Health, the department in charge of people with special needs as well as the institutional and civil society actors concerned.

On November 1, 2008, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God be with him, inaugurated, in Safi, the “Mohammed Karim Lamrani” regional branch of the Mohammed VI national center for people with special needs
The Safi center, built by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, falls within the framework of the decentralized actions carried out by the Mohammed VI national center for people with special needs. The center is part of a network of similar institutions all over the country that are designed to be close to citizens’ needs.
The Safi center, “Mohammed Karim Lamrani” regional branch, is meant to serve as a regional medical, educational, social and professional center. It is designed to rally NGOs seeking to achieve the integration of people with special needs.
The center contributes to expertise and capacity building to guarantee socio-educational and professional integration through partnership among different actors and openness to the outside environment.
