The Social Center for Old People in Guercif has been created by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity to be in charge of old people in difficult situations coming from 9 communes of the Guercif area.
Entirely created by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the Center has cost 1.5 million MAD.
The center includes a kitchen, a canteen, a hostel, one 20-bed dormitory for men, 20-bed dormitory for women, one administration, one laundry, one sanitary block.
The Social Center for Old People in Taza has been inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God Assist Him, on Saturday 5 Ramadan 1429, corresponding to September 6, 2008.
The center has been renewed and rearranged by building two pavilions (dormitories and hostel) to accommodate 45 old people in difficult situations.
Entirely created by Mohammed V foundation for Solidarity at a cost of 1.5 million MAD, the center has one wing for men in the ground floor made up of 9 rooms of 3 beds each, one hostel and one sanitary block, as well as one identical wing for women.
Inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God Assist Him, on Ramadan 2, 1429 A. H., corresponding to September 3, 2008, the Social Center for Old People in Rabat represents the first materialization of reflections and studies carried out within the Association Forum for Solidarity, weaving a network of associations gathering thirty associations partner with Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
Entirely realized by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity at a cost exceeding 7 million MAD, 440.000 MAD of which set out for equipments, the center intends to:

The percentage of elderly population will stand at 9% in 2014, 11.1% in 2020 and 20% in 2040.
According to the CERED (population research center), the proportion of elderly people in Morocco will be almost similar to that of young people by the year 2050.
