Following the High Royal Instructions issued on Tuesday, December 16, to assist populations affected by the current severe cold wave, the Foundation began its first field operations on Thursday, December 18.
Foundation teams are currently active in nine provinces, including Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Taroudant, Azilal, and Khénifra, delivering emergency aid to households most vulnerable to freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall. To date, support has reached 6,773 households across 156 douars with relief packages consisting of blankets and essential food supplies.
The Foundation will maintain this high level of mobilization in the coming days, gradually expanding its reach to other affected areas, specifically Tinghir, Midelt, Ouarzazate, Chefchaouen, and Guercif. Nationwide, the "Grand Froid" initiative is set to benefit a total of 73,000 households across 28 provinces.
