Fighting precariousness

Safeguarding the dignity of the most vulnerable

The Foundation pays special attention to fighting social vulnerability. Working with civil society, it endeavors to meet the needs for empowerment, integration and well-being of the most vulnerable. Safeguarding the dignity of these people and strengthening social bonds are the Foundation’s priority.

Tackling social vulnerabilities

Fighting poverty and precariousness in all its forms is a major priority for the Foundation. The Foundation provides aid to populations living in precarious conditions or in situations of relative exclusion, often as a result of poverty.

Abandoned children, orphans, women facing hardship, the elderly, young people suffering from addictive behavior: social vulnerability impacts various communities and takes on many forms. The Foundation implements local support mechanisms adapted to each population.

The Foundation uses various action levers and levels of intervention, including counselling, educational and social guidance, health care and skill building... It seeks to reduce social isolation, contributes to the improvement of living conditions and encourages the empowerment of vulnerable people.

What I want for all Moroccans, in villages, cities and remote, isolated areas, is to give them access to a dignified life now, reassure them about the future and ensure their security and stability at all times, with a balance between rights and obligations.

Promoting the social and professional integration of the poorest

The Foundation's programs in support of the most vulnerable strive to provide integrated intake and care facilities. These programs are designed to create the right conditions for self-rebuilding, self-development and skills acquisition. The Foundation favors an approach that empowers the people it helps so that they themselves can play an active role in their social rehabilitation and integration.
The elderly, who are often victims of exclusion, are welcomed in homes for the elderly or nursing homes, pioneered by the Foundation in Morocco. Accommodation, catering, health services, care and therapeutic activities are provided for the well-being of this population. Likewise, for orphans, the Foundation sees to it that children and young people are fostered in environments conducive to social development and fulfilment.

The Foundation has also established early learning centers for disadvantaged children (independent daycare facilities). It also provides educational services for the children of women who are admitted to women's social centers. Initially dedicated to supporting women experiencing hardship, these facilities are now geared towards providing them with professional qualifications to empower them financially.

The national program to combat addictive behavior, for its part, focuses on empowering young people and helping them acquire professional skills during the course of their treatment.
